CLRC Online classes are live classes. Students learn in a classroom setting within their own home. Students hear the instructor speaking in real time and can ask questions and benefit from the questions of others. The instructors post charts, diagrams, and other teaching aids and write on a class ‘white board’. All classes are recorded so students who need to miss a class or two can make the class up at their convenience. Homework assignments and other learning tools are available on the class webpage. For most classes there is also the opportunity for students to form study groups with their classmates to discuss homework assignments and readings outside of class.
Classes are open to Middle School and High School students ages 12 and up. See detailed course descriptions below for any exceptions. Separate discussion classes are usually held for Middle School and High School students.
The minimum number of students for each is class is 8. The maximum is 15.
Each semester runs for 15 weeks with two week long breaks. Most classes are 2 hours in length. See detailed course descriptions below for any exceptions.
